Steve Davey joined Maxwells in 2007 as a Solicitor and Technical Assistant.
Steve completed a combined degree in Applied Physics and Law in 2005 at Macquarie University and was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2006.
Steve is currently undertaking The Masters of Intellectual Property at the University of Technology, Sydney, for registration as a Patent and Trade Mark Attorney.
Steve has experience in Federal Court litigation in relation to patent, trade mark, design and copyright infringement.
Steve assists Peter Maxwell in the drafting of patent specifications for mechanical, software and optoelectronic devices including optical physics, optical fibres and laser technologies. He also has a keen interest in recent advances in quantum and nanotechnologies.
Steve also assists James Maxwell in the firm's trade mark practice including oppositions, gathering and preparation of evidence and trade mark prosecution and enforcement.
